Veneers for a Radiant Transformation
The Process of Placing Veneers
The process of placing veneers is often completed in a single day, but in some cases, it may require two appointments spaced a couple of weeks apart, especially when we need to collaborate with a dental laboratory.
Before we begin, we’ll discuss your desired shape and appearance to outline the goals for your new veneers. Once we have a plan in place, we will carefully prepare your teeth for the veneer placement. This includes using our intraoral digital scanner to create an accurate 3D model of your teeth, ensuring the veneers fit perfectly and match the surrounding teeth.
If we can complete the process in one day, you'll have a brief break while we use digital software to design your porcelain veneers. Once the design is finalized, our in-office milling unit will create your custom veneers from blocks of porcelain.
In some instances, the digital scans will be sent to a high-standard laboratory for fabrication. This process typically takes 10-14 days. While your new veneers are being made, we will provide you with a beautiful temporary solution to wear.
Once the veneers are ready—whether crafted in-house or at the laboratory—we will bond them to your teeth. Our goal is to ensure that your new veneers feel just like your natural teeth, allowing you to enjoy your stunning new smile for many years to come!
Enhancing Smiles with Precision and Care
During your initial consultation, our doctors will discuss your desired outcomes and assess whether porcelain veneers are the best treatment option for you. We’ll collaborate closely with you to create mockups that illustrate how your smile will look post-treatment.
If you're satisfied and ready to move forward, we will carefully remove the minimum amount of enamel needed to accommodate the veneers. Using our state-of-the-art CEREC machine, we will take impressions and fabricate your veneers from a single block of porcelain. This advanced technology allows you to benefit from porcelain veneers in just one visit to our office.
Once your new veneers are ready, we will bond them to the front surfaces of your teeth, ensuring they closely match the color and texture of your natural teeth for a seamless, beautiful smile.
Are You a Candidate for Veneers?
Porcelain veneers can effectively address small cracks or chips in your teeth and enhance the appearance of small teeth that don’t match the rest of your smile. They can improve your dental aesthetics and complement your facial features beautifully. Additionally, if you have intrinsic stains that are resistant to whitening treatments, veneers may be an excellent solution.
However, it’s important to understand that veneers are primarily a cosmetic treatment and are not designed to address significant orthodontic issues, tooth decay, or tooth loss. Before getting veneers, your teeth must be strong enough to support them. Our office will perform an oral health evaluation to determine if you are a suitable candidate for the procedure. If you have any existing oral health issues, we will need to address those before starting the veneer treatment.
